Hello everyone,
Half of the year 2024 is almost over! Can you believe it? Well, it’s May already, but I haven’t just been sitting around twiddling my thumbs. I have been busy planning my next ventures. As some of you know, the last few years of my life have taken me by surprise. This year is no different. I am excited to tell you that today I posted my first mini documentary on my new YouTube show ‘Tempo with Felecia T. Moore’ on my new YouTube channel, Moore and Moore Media. The documentary features my husband as he explains his experience with gardening while growing up here in LaGrange, GA and his current ventures in gardening as an adult. I hope that you will check out my channel each week as I add more content. Like, share, and tell your friends! Lastly, if you, or if you know someone that would be good for me to interview on my show ‘Tempo with Felecia T. Moore’, go to the contact page on this website, feleciatmoore.com, complete the form and submit it! Yes, it’s that simple! Talk soon!

Well, the summer is officially over now. I have been working on several new things for the past few months. In May, I began working on an African American school project in Troup County. More information to come on that subject! In July, I attended the Donald Davis Emcee Workshop at the Hills & Dales Estate. Mr. Davis gave the group several tips to be a successful emcee of a storytelling event. I took careful notes and plan to use them during my first emcee opportunity October 9, 2022, at the 10th Annual Stories in the Garden event! Pepper Hagebak and Michael Reno Harrell will be the featured tellers. See my event page for more details. I’m excited and I hope that you will either meet or beat me there! Thirdly, I have not just new paint, but new types of paint, and new canvases. I plan to work on projects that I had in mind earlier this year and a couple of new ideas. Stay tuned!
Blog 2: Wow! The last couple of months have been a world wind for me! I will start with the 2022 Taste of Storytelling event held at First Presbyterian Church LaGrange on February 13th. I performed as the local teller along with the two regional tellers, Jane Cunningham, and Andy Russell. My reviews were positive. Not bad for my first time! I told a story about the Gunn sisters that worked in the LaGrange College Margaret A. Pitts Dining Hall for thirty-three years each.
The following weekend on Saturday, February 19th I attended the 2022 Fourth LaGrange Southeast Regional Art Exhibit at the LaGrange Art Museum and Lamar Dodd Art Center at LaGrange College with my family. My artwork entitled, Hot’s Barbershop, accepted during a juried competition received a merit award! Coming up next: My daughter Jessica and I are not getting ready for two arts festivals here in LaGrange on April 9th. Check out my events page for all the details! My book, Time for a Haircut, should be available in couple of weeks. Watch for it! With love, Felecia ‘Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.’ Are you prepared? Welcome to my very first blog on my newly created website. Were you surprised to arrive here and see the words storyteller, artist, and author? Well, I am just as surprised as you are, if not more. During this COVID-19 pandemic, people have quit their jobs, changed careers, and/or started businesses. I have not quit my job, but in fact, it was my job that helped to contribute to these new facets of me. I have been meeting and talking to so many new people via a local project that fell in my lap. The new project and this ‘slow’ time has allowed me more time for self-reflection. The result is storyteller, artist, and author.
Leave your email, check back often, and I hope you enjoy this journey with me. With love, Felecia ‘Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.’ Are you prepared? |
